Notes: Inscribed by the author on the half-title, to a fellow poet: 'À l'excellent poète Jean Pellerin, en temoignage de haute sympathie littéraire, Roger Frène'. Pellerin died later that year.The volume is principally of note for the superb line-drawings by Modigliani, his only book-illustrations – published posthumously, the year after his death at the age of 35.
