Notes: One of the last of the series featuring Sir Abercrombie Lewker, renowned actor-manager and amateur detective, from the prolific author, whose own life-long interest in mountaineering is represented here by the character Gabriel Frome, artist and experienced climber. The 'weirdies' refer to the members of a maverick commune established in North Wales with the aim of living an artistic life, beyond the bounds of conventional morality.
