Notes: Scarce. A parody of the Decadents and Symbolists then in vogue, aping what its authors regarded as the worst of their obscurantist extravagances. This second edition, following only a matter of weeks after the first, includes Vicaire's excellent 'Vie d'Adoré Floupette', written as 'Marius Tapora, Pharmacien de 2e classe', which adds another meticulous layer to the fabrication, though the identity of the true authors was more-or-less known by the time the first edition had been published.
