Notes: Second edition (1st Venice, Jenson, 1480) of a collection of devotional essays by Johannes Carthusiensis (fl. 1480). A fresh copy (once part of a Sammelband, witness tab), a touch larger than the BL copy, which also lacks the terminal blank. Knoblochtzer's third book. The Venetian, Carthusian, Giovanni, is best remembered for his homilies on how women should behave in anticipation of marriage, in that state, and in widowhood (meekly, and piously).
