Notes: The last edition listed by Palau of the Spanish prose translation by Francisco Vidal de Noya the first being Zaragosa, 1493. WolrdCat locates only BNE, and 1 copy in Oxford (All Souls). The text is introduced as being 'en Romance Castellano ... en estilo assaz alto y muy elegante.' Francisco Vidal de Noya (c. 1415-92), tutor to the future 'Catholic King' (Fernando de Aragon), bishop, diplomat, polymath. His translation was the first into Spanish, but it was superseded by Manuel Suerio's translation when it appeared in 1615....more
