Signed by the author at the head of 'Before the Play on p. 19, and dated by him '5/14/83'. This was the original Prologue to the book 'The Shining', published for the first time here; the other piece of original King fiction here is a revision of a 1973 story, 'It Grows on You' - he also contributes a short memoir of writing 'The Shining', and there is an article by David J. Schow on the variable success of bringing King's work to the screen.There was a signed limited edition of this special issue, scarce in itself - but signed copies of the trade issue are rare.
