Bookseller Notes
Inscribed by the author, and uncommon thus: 'For Monalle[?], with very best wishes always, Nol Coward'. In his Preface, Coward claims credit for 'selecting and arranging (and in some cases) translating'; he is, of course, also the author. The binding is a little hideous, but not inappropriately so.Following on from his Sitwell parodies, as Hernia Whittlebot, and here casting his net more widely to offer an international selection of modernist spoofs, Coward once more displays his mastery of the parodic form - meticulous, arch, and very silly.
