Bookseller Notes

Early work by an author who became known as a writer of mystery novels, including under various pseudonyms (of which, Sefton Kyle was the most frequently employed). There is a discrepancy in the series numbering between the title-page and front wrapper (the latter says this is volume 4).Vickers was educated at Charterhouse School and Brasenose College, Oxford (which he left without taking a degree). The book has a wartime setting and the fact of it being published on location dictates its scarcity (NLS only on LibraryHub).

Description

1919,] pp. [ii], 141, 12mo, original grey wrappers, pencilled ownership inscription to front, gentle knock at foot of backstrip, very good
