Her first book, scarce; a Bohemian spoof of Daisy Ashford's 'Young Visiters' - wherein Harold Withersquash enjoys the fruits of a large inheritance.Barry had had two children with Wyndham Lewis, but married the poet Alan Porter in the year of this publication. It was also the year she published her first film criticism (in The Spectator), and she was among the founders of the Film Society in 1925, going on to be the first film curator at MOMA.
