Retail can be a difficult industry to work in. Between shoplifters, companies trying to cut expenses, demanding customers, long hours, low pay, inconsistent management and many other factors it is no wonder there is such a high turnover associated with the industry. After working in the industry I have decided to turn my time in retail into this book. I have included several different sections that will show you what it is like to work in the retail industry. These include advice on what to do and what to avoid, what my responses to things I have been told or asked by customers would be if I could speak my mind and my most memorable experiences from behind the counter. This book was made in a semi satirical manner but I do hope that it shows you what a day in the life of a retail worker could be.
