A copy of Vidal's novel of Julian the Apostate with notable provenance, bearing the ownership of the young Aung San Suu Kyi (here transliterated as 'Aung Sang Suu Kyi') - in her first months in Oxford, where she studied Philosophy, Politics & Economics at St. Hugh's College. Aung San Suu Kyi was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1991, and a series of accolades followed, but has more recently drawn criticism and controversy for her political leadership in Myanmar.
