Julie Ravins Byers lives in rural Northern California with her family and their dog Mickey and cat George. She is a ceramic artist and she loves spending time outdoors and hiking. The story comes from a time when she lived aboard a sailboat in Sausalito California. It is about coexistence among natures creatures, in this case a family of seagulls and the people they adopted who were living aboard Yankee Belle in Richardson Bay.
