Excerpt from Wpa Projects: Analysis of Projects Placed in Operation Through December 31, 1936
Active projects. As presented in the accompanying tables, were limited to those which were in actual operation as of December 31, 1986. All other proj ects are shown as canl projects. Included in the latter category are proj ects for which all units of work, on the basis of which funds had been estimated, were physically completed as of that date. Also included are projects dis continued before the completion of all contemplated units of work. However, discontinuance was not permissible prior to a stage of accomplishment that invol ved completion of work units, so as to render the work of value and use to the coxmnunity.
