This book recounts the pursuits of a fictional U. S. President, Benjamin J. Leck, and his wife, Alexis -the Vice President, as they serve the country they love. The story is set in the early 21st century. The reader who can identify with people, places and things from the 1980s and 1990's will feel a bit nostalgic as they experience the story. The young and fit 'Benny' and 'Lexi' enter politics after he successfully started and grew a billion-dollar electric car manufacturing corporation. The President is honest, funny, diligent, and on a mission called, "Let's Fix This" to improve many issues that never seem to get resolved, such as gun control, a balanced budget and voting rights, to name a few. President and Vice President Leck accomplish much, though their faces are unrecognized. They choose to keep their true appearance from the public, wearing a disguise when in the community or on TV. Can a President so filled with goodness survive two full terms with some powerful enemies who want nothing more than to maintain the 'status quo'? Despite his anonymity, can the President protect himself and his family? Some of the characters and events seem to parallel events of today, yet 90% of this novel was written in 1990! Prepare for an uncommon look at politics not operating as 'business as usual'.
