Publisher's Synopsis
The city sits smoldering in its own ashes, decades of war and violence emanating from the clouds of smoke. Long ago, war erupted from all corners of the world raining both nuclear and chemical warfare down on the people below. The culmination of these useless acts of violence left a world in ruins and a plague upon the human race. There were still some people left, but most either perished in the war or were turned into zombies by the chemicals dropped on the city. The zombies, just hollow cores of the humans they used to be, roam aimlessly through the lands, looking to satisfy their insatiable hunger. The wolves are scattered throughout, spending their days attempting to save the few humans left to fend for themselves. Though there were traces of those wolves that thirsted for blood, mainly referred to as the Ravagers, most of the others ran in small packs, shifting from their human form and back again. Though, recently with the strange change in zombie behavior and the threat of extinction, the wolves started to gather, creating larger packs in different locations. TJ, initially a lone wolf living with his father near their family mansion, has had a hell of a few months. His father had lost the ability to shift after an injury during the war, and the two spent their days searching for clues and rescuing humans. TJ's life, however, made a sharp turn when Dr. Gutierrez and his daughter Yasenia came into the picture. They had been abducting girls from the city and placing them in their compound. There, they performed brutal tests and experiments, leaving all but one, dead in a pile in the woods. As TJ's father finally picked up on the trail, the Gutierrez family picked up on his, and TJ found his father dead, a silver bullet to the chest.
