This report of 1974 veneer-log pro duction and receipts1 in the North Central Region is divided into two sections - Lake States (minnesota, Wisconsin, and Michigan) and Central States (indiana, Illinois, Iowa, and Missouri) - because different species are grown and used as veneer logs in each area. Moreover, less information can be released about the Central States because more de tailed data would reveal the operations of individual mills. Export data are reported for Canada but not for other countries.
