Turquoise Blood, a standalone sequel to Fireball Kiss, is another page turner from Jamie Linick with well-developed characters and a fast plot. It's a lurid tale of mayhem, murder and true love, fattened with all the technical details you expect from a well-researched novel. Carl and his son are multi-millionaire developers of Miami Beach waterfront property. Carl is a serial philanderer, on his third wife and keeps a beautiful young girlfriend stashed in one of his luxury condominiums. His son David, fresh out of Ivy League business school, wants to work with Dad and learn the business. Unfortunately, their amoral bankers have forced them to partner with one of Miami's most notorious criminals, Mr. Bono. Mr. Bono plans to take everything for himself by his usual methods, intimidation and then murder. Miami detectives, Law and D'Andre have a score to settle with Mr. Bono. At their last encounter Law had taken a bullet to the torso and barely survived. This time it's personal. Can Law and D'Andre protect the multi-millionaire builders and defeat the evil Mr. Bono? Maybe with the help of two beautiful women, one who claims she can tell future and another that's fallen in love.
