Publisher's Synopsis
Another Soviet leader is dying. Russia's three most powerful institution - the Politburo, the KGB, and the Red Army - each have a different candidate for the Kremlin's top job. The Army's choice has a problem: his son and daughter-in-law are Soviet defectors living in the United States. Major Kirov is ordered to America "to eliminate the embarrassment." On his way Kirov discovers that as soon as he's killed the couple, he's to be eliminated too. What Kirov does will keep you on the edge of your chair till the last page.
