Publisher's Synopsis
Naval Aviator Terry McGrath flies a dangerous mission over Iraq. She is to be spotted by radar in order to locate a secret Iraqi nuclear missile project. When Iraqi radar spots her it will signal a precision smart-bomb attack by U.S. bombers. She is shot down but manages to eject. A cat and mouse game follows as an Iraqi search force tracks her and the U.S. Navy prepares to rescue her. During her evasion trek she reflects on her flying career from a solo flight in her fatheras Piper Cub through Naval flight assignments and training as a fighter pilot. Her assignments have included flying turboprop carrier based supply planes the Talon jet trainer, F-5 Aggressor and F-14 TomCats through F-16 Hornet attack fighters. As the Iraqi forces and U.S. Navy search and rescue operations converge Terry reaches the extraction point. Will the Iraqi or the Navy reach her first?
