I started sewing when I was a little girl, but my life really changed when my mom gave me my first real sewing machine as a high school graduation gift. My mom was sixteen when she had me, so she was really just a child herself. She saw the creativity in me and wanted to help support my dreams anyway she could. She taught me how to be a strong woman and go after my hearts desires and not to let anyone, or any circumstances stand in my way. As a young woman, I used that sewing machine to create my own sense of style and be strong in it. I learned to be me and wear what my heart desired in confidence because I believe I am worth it, and this is what I want for you. I want you to be courageous and to live your life out loud and on purpose. That sewing machine was just the beginning of my ability to dig deep within myself and find the best version of me.
