A Witch hunter named Ash returns to his village and finds it ravaged by witches.He meets up with a shopkeeper named Cornelius Butterbiggins, and soon discovers when it comes to magic, Cornelius has more than one thing up his sleeve. As Ash and Cornelius undertake the dangerous quest to destroy the witches, they come across Arya, a small and fearless young girl who seeks revenge on the witches for making her an orphan. They later come to realise that they have entered into a world in which far more powerful and evil forces are at work. Will they survive their perilous journey, and what awaits them?
