Publisher's Synopsis

"The United States Space Marine Corps." The marines in 2029 look a little different with their animal private first class (APFC) and mechanical private first class (MPFC) members who make up more than half of platoon personnel. Jaguar handler Corporal Bobby "Stick" Spader knows they have different problems, too. As a jaguar handler and squad leader, Stick encounters and solves some unique problems aboard the alien Gihon space craft. Upon landing, the marines find Gihon is in a worldwide rebellion so ground operations won't be a picnic either. But these are good marines and to "adapt and carry on" is their way of life. Gunny Falon and Major Black lead the expanded platoon against the Gihon rebels but their mission was to establish the first Earth embassy on an alien world. That should have been dress blue duty. Oh, well, another day in the USSMC.
A properly developed Table of Organization & Equipment is the key to any successful space marine deployment and this platoon requires it being six light years from Earth but operations on any alien world will test the best TO&E. The extensive glossary and TO&E describes MFPCs, smart weapons, and other innovations utilized by the space marines in 2029. Stick, a confirmed bachelor, may even find one of those "Big" Gihon women he's been looking for. Follow the first platoon warriors as they fight and maybe die on Gihon in "The United States Space Marine Corps."
