Since the use of alcohol prodiices such serious and pronounced changes throughout the tissues of the body, it is evident that it is a poison. As has been stated before, false relief 18 obtained for a while by con tinned and increased use of alcohol, but sooner or later a time comes when no amount of stimulation can compensate for the amount of damage that has been done. The af?icted individual is mentally, morally and physically doomed unless the alcohol is withdrawn and its ravages counteracted. Conditions very similar in a general way accompany and follow the habitual use of morphine, cocaine: and drugs of this class.
