Publisher's Synopsis

John Baptista, a forensic auditor and adventure freak, is visiting the African continent for the first time, the land from where his ancestors came, on an audit mission for rubber conglomerate Everest to Kenya. During the course of the audit, John is witness to a gory ritual involving the Tisa tribe who are part of the Everest workforce. When he meets Makena, the tribe's princess and a student of history from the University of Kenya, she reveals the secret of a hidden treasure, left by her ancestor, a Warrior from the tribe who sailed from Kenya to India some two centuries ago.

Makena is thrilled to discover John's particular skills and intellect on the one hand and his African origin on the other. She entrusts him with the truth about her plan to recover the treasure, boost her tribe's honor, and put an end to the age-old ritual. John and Makena develop an emotional bond as they hunt for the treasure that is supposed to be hidden under the tunnel of a fort ruled by some erstwhile Indian empire. The tribe has a tradition of oral history and no written script. All that is available is folk songs, wild guesses, and a few mysterious clues.

Thus the long and arduous journey of exploration begins. Will John's forensic skills and Makena's grit lead them to their goal? Will their mission end in success? Journey through wild African jungles and mysterious Indian kingdoms to find out............
