Publisher's Synopsis
To travel through time is a mystery, that has captured the imagination of people, throughout the ages. Some say, it's an impossibility. Others reserve judgement. When Merlin the 6th century seer and magician, finds that the power to time-travel has been quite literally, thrust into his hands, by a dying King Arthur, he doesn't immediately recognise the worth of the small metal sphere, that the King bequeaths into his care. The sphere has some surprising powers, which the wizard quickly uses to his advantage. Before long, Merlin finds himself flying down the centuries, eventually ending up in 21st century England. We have a chance meeting with him in Surrey woodland, where our initial impression of the magician, is that of a scruffy old tramp, sleeping rough in the woods. This early impression of the 6th century Merlin, quickly morphs into a well-dressed man about town, driving a red Jaguar!
Thereafter, his adventures begin in earnest, as we follow him to some exotic locations, including the Lost City of Atlantis and The End of Time. The tale returns again and again to England, the land of Merlin's birth. Whilst there are travels and thrill-packed adventures, the story also includes elements of politics, sociology and quite naturally, a fair dollop of history. This is a what- if tale. What if, a man could travel through time? What then? How would that change and shape him? The reverse question, is how will he shape and change the world? In this case, our world of the 2020's and 2030's? Read on and find out!
This is book 2 in "The Time Magician" series. It's subtitle is " The Soldier, The Magician & The King."
