Publisher's Synopsis

This is the tale of Jemima Puddle-Duck who lived on a farm with a hen and other ducks. She was annoyed because the farmer's wife did not let her hatch her eggs herself, rather left the task to the hen.Desperately, Jemima ran away from the farm one day in search of a safe place to make her nest and lay her eggs. She landed in a foxgloves surrounded area where she met a fox who looked like a gentleman indeed. She recited her needs to him and he led her into a shack where he asked her to make her nest. There, in the shack, lay a huge quantity of feathers and Jemima found them very comforting. She made her nest and lay nine eggs there. The gentlemanly fox looked after them each night when the duck left the shed. One day, she decided to sit full time on the eggs until they hatched. The gentleman asked her to do a dinner party before she starts sitting on the eggs. The duck wasn't suspicious of the ingredients that the fox had asked her to bring. While at the farm, she told everything to Kep, the wise dog and started again for the shack.
