A few months ago a man by the name of Marsden announced that he meant to travel up and down the road as a detective and kill Lowery 011 sight. To put him to the test Lowery and all the band appeared with cocked shot g'uns at Moss Neck station, and stood at a respectable, yet fin-tire, present arms, while the braggart, for such he was, crawled under the car seat. L'owery offered $100 reward to anybody who would tell him whether Marden or Marsden was 011 the train, as he meant to foliow the fellow Up the road but he would not cross the platform himself.
