In performing the delicate tail: of fele�tion, it mutt necefl'arily happen, that many efi'ays will be reje�ted, for which, perhaps, their authors, or the perfons by whom they were forwarded, had a degree of partiality or affe�tion. When, however, the Editor Rates, that of the mafs of materials annually collected, much more are thrown afide than are adopted, it cannot be expected that ran/6m thould be afiigned to every indi vidual who may feel a' difappointment of the nature alluded to. When it is required, the pieces not ufcd will be returned by the Publifher; but no let ters can be received that do not come pgfl-paid.
