Publisher's Synopsis
Two children from different locations in the country and suffering abusive lifestyles escape the torture administered by their parents. The children come together; meeting for the first time in South Wales, having been guided to their new accommodation, beneath an old public house in a cellar, where they form a close bond as their adventure starts to unfold. Each child is burdened; one with a disability and untapped gift. The other with a dark secret she does not want to divulge. They are under the guidance of Juliet and her sisters, hidden from the authorities and encouraged to lead as normal a life as possible under the circumstances. Life changing, magical events transform the children into teenagers, along with the problems accompanying an adolescent, trying to understand the changes taking place in them. They dismiss their histories and forge a new future for themselves in a world they don't yet fully understand, learning incredible abilities as they go.
