Patricia, a junior zoology professor in a fantastical world, is determined to explore an enchanted forest, the haunt of monstrous and mythical creatures, unaided. A satyr named Martin, who befriended a pair of adventurers named Tarn and Beck, knows plenty about the dangers inherent in such a magical place and wants to help her out. They're an unlikely couple, but an army of beasts from Martin's past have invaded the forest, intent on attacking the city Patricia comes from. They have to join forces and race to the city to warn everyone there before the monsters arrive.
