New York, 1955. Spencer Marlowe awakes on the subway travelling from Queens to Manhattan. He is jolted into the reality that once again he's been flung back in time. It isn't long before Spencer runs afoul of Mafia mobster, Tony Romano, when he is forced to defend himself against Romano's bodyguards.
FBI lieutenant, Dale Fletcher, witnesses the event and recruits Spencer to help take down Romano and cripple the Mafia's drug ambitions in a sting operation that leads Spencer and FBI Special Agent, Savannah Steele, from New York to Japan.
Savannah might look like a naïve Midwestern girl, but Spencer soon learns the resourceful and independent Savannah is more than a match for criminals--be they Mafia or the Yamaguchi Gumi. But has her dark past turned her into a ruthless killer?
