Edward Malone, a youthful columnist for the Daily Gazette, asks his manager for a risky task to intrigue the lady he cherishes, Gladys, who wants for an extraordinary man fit for bold deeds and activities. His errand is to move toward the infamous Professor Challenger, who disdains the famous press seriously and truly attacks meddlesome writers. The subject is to be his new South American undertaking which, encircled by debate, ensures an unfriendly response. As an immediate methodology would be quickly rebuked, Malone rather takes on the appearance of a sincere understudy.
