Publisher's Synopsis

The Ninth Roman Legion are lost to history - can Ethan Catney find them?

Their disappearance has been a long-held mystery. Over the centuries rumours of their fate have become legendary. In reality, they are trapped in time, as punishment for the unspeakable deeds of a few.

Ethan is a history professor with a passion for this two-thousand-year-old puzzle. His quest finds him in a remote Scottish hamlet, home to an eclectic group, guided by a larger-than-life vicar and his daughter. As the past and the present become entwined can Ethan not only solve the mystery but save them, and perhaps find himself in the process?

An ancient historical backdrop with a modern hero. Combine magic, action, suspense and intrigue - throw in a little humour and romance and you have The Founders. The story takes you from ancient Rome, through Celtic myths, and makes you look at how we are shaping the modern world. Dark themes are intertwined with a light touch, taking you on an adventure. Imagine Lewis Carroll and Michael Crichton wrote a book together.
