Angel Teroo has lived a normal life. He goes to school, has friends and a loving mother and father, and lives in a house with a pool. All that changes when on a camping trip, Angel witnesses his father with inhuman abilities slay a monster! He realizes that all of the bedtime stories his parents used to tell him were not all myths but a history of his heritage. Now Angel's eyes are opened to a new world as his parents take him back to their homeland, the city of Briquen-a place populated entirely by beings like themselves.
