Having just finished middle school, Will Ryerson has come to terms with the fact that he's not much of an athlete, will never be part of the "cool" crowd and is an average student at best. but when Will find out that he's failed eighth grade science and has to attend summer school to repeat the course he is devastated. He sits in the back of class and keeps to himself. But when his beloved dog (and best friend) Riley goes missing, Will is surprised to find that a few of his new classmates come to his aid. Equipped with movie cameras, cell phones and the latest gadgets, his new buddies open a whole new world for Will. Using YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and all the internet has to offer, the four friends soon find themselves as the center of attention as they embark on an adventure that will propel them way beyond the "cool" kids and into the ranks of celebrity status.
