Publisher's Synopsis

For introductory courses in Anatomy, Physiology - especially well suited for health care disciplines such as Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, and Sports Medicine.

Body in Motion contains a complete 3D model of the entire skeleton with muscles and ligaments, bones, arteries and nerves, all presented in three different views. Each 3D anatomical feature and its corresponding text article provide a link to attachments, patient information, surface anatomy movies and 3D animations of muscle function that can be fully rotated. 3D visualization of movement is presented by strings attached to bone specimens to show muscle attachments and moving principles. The anatomy section shows a view of a complete human musculature; standard controls allow this model to be rotated and for layers of anatomy to be removed, with large vessels included in this model. The deepest layers show major ligaments and bony landmarks.
