Publisher's Synopsis
What would you do? Ross Barber was British ex-special-forces. The love of his life was murdered in apparent revenge for his killing of violent extremists whilst on a romantic holiday, thrusting him into a world of subterfuge and lies. After her killing, he slowly came to realise that she was not, as he believed her to be. He wanted justice and revenge, and was determined to discover the truth, but the closer he got, the more dangerous it became. At times close to madness through his guilt and his grief, not helped by a terrible up-bringing, he had become as those he despised, cold and ruthless. Drinking to cover his guilt, and violent to satisfy his rage, futilely seeking someone to blame! It could not continue, and now the Criminal Courts had ordered him to attend a psychiatrist to thwart his downward spiral. This was his last chance before he would be sent to prison. Tip-toeing through a minefield, he walked the walk, mindful of the consequences, should he take the wrong path. He would be a fool not to embrace the chance presented, but unfortunately, there must be retribution. There must be justice! Now dark forces from Daesh and from the British Government both relentlessly tried to silence him. Ross needed and wanted no-one, but the brotherhood of ex-soldiers is a difficult bond to break. Each stone upturned revealed even more murderous scum, anxious to achieve notoriety, even in death. He would grant them their wishes, but first, had to discover who was responsible!
