Micha and Sentar have settled into their new lives on Ras 2. Beth, Dorana, and Tebrin are getting ready to graduate. They prepare their colors. After the ceremonies, Micha and Sentar take Beth to visit Galen at the Library. They need to find out if she can hold the books.

Beth is able. Galen takes a turn for the worse and passes away. Beth meets her destiny as the Keeper of the Keys. Micha and Sentar are pleased and proud. This is the final chapter in their stories. The Ambassador takes place in a world where integrity and honor matter, trust is earned, wits matter more than firepower, friends are the best, everybody gets a seat at the table, and the good guys win most of the time. It crosses generations and cultures, East and West. It's a hopeful story that reminds us of a time which never existed and a future we can only dream about. The story spans eight books that begin in the Ambassador's present, go back 30 years, and return to her present before moving forward.
