Publisher's Synopsis
Sophia Eleanor Dobson, known to her friends as Fifi, is a seven-year-old with wild red hair, green eyes, and a boundless imagination. She has a magnificent collection of snow globes from all the places her parents have traveled, and these snow globes serve as her portal to imaginary places. Aipotu ("Utopia" spelled backwards) is a magical world that has rivers made of milkshakes and wells where wishes come true. Fifi has created this magical kingdom to contend with a mean boy named Jack who embarrasses Fifi and makes fun of her red hair. Aipotu and the characters she meets there, including Llamaroo (who is a cross between a llama and a kangaroo), show Fifi how it's all up to her, and how she can turn a not-so-good situation into a good one. Like Alice's Wonderland and Dorothy's Oz, Aipotu is a place young readers will want to visit again and again.
