Arya Valhar is a Stanford University student who manages to find a vaccine to cure the Queen virus but she never imagines that Ethan Smith would claim her research as his own. Ethan's rich military father establishes production of the vaccine. Everybody looks fine until Arya learns that Ethan has stolen her previous research that transformed rats into walking Zombies due to brain deterioration. Arya tries to tell Ethan but Ethan doesn't listen and vaccines are manufactured and distributed into military camps and throughout the global communities. Arya prepares for the worse by reaching to the media but nobody listens until Gideon Feller takes her seriously. Gideon falls for Arya but does not confess his love because he is afraid she will reject him. Arya escapes to her grandmother's abandoned estate in North Dakota. People are becoming resistant to the virus but then the virus mutates. Arya doesn't take this lying down. What happens when someone wants the virus to spread to cause an economic collapse? Can she find the cure before she becomes an endangered species?
