Definition of Sugar Hurt - having an affliction that is either directly caused by or has a strong link to the overconsumption of sugar. The fact is, sugar is everywhere and if you're not actively trying to avoid it, then you're more than likely consuming too much. So, what is it so bad about consuming more than the recommended amount of sugar? Weight gain and cavities probably come to mind first, and those are two good examples, but there have also been studies that show the following diseases and ailments to have a direct link or strong connection to the over consumption of sugar: -Type 2 Diabetes -Non-alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease -Heart Disease -Metabolic Syndrome -Kidney Disease -Gout -Cancer -Addictive Behavior -Alzheimer's Disease -Impaired Immune System -Impaired Structure of DNA -Osteoporosis That's pretty scary. So, here's where this journal comes in. This journal will allow you to track what you're putting in your body. The simple act of writing down what you eat can positively impact the foods you choose. Research shows that you'll eat less food and even choose higher quality foods. This is a 30 day challenge to you, to track what you're eating, cut back on sugar to stay under the recommended amount, plan your meals, and hold yourself accountable.
