Sofia, a Persian cat, hides on a cruise ship bound for Rome and continues her adventures in Italy, but this time a kitten with magical powers and a gang of marauding pirates complicate things. When an angel visits Sofia's dreams, she gives the cat clues about the location of a legendary diamond lost by a Nubian princess, long ago. Stolen ancient scrolls found in the Lions Temple in Nubia mention the gem, and Sofia's twin guardians, Tina and Tanya, believe the riches from the large diamond could save African lions from extinction and aid Nubian families devastated by a man-made flood.
Thwarting kidnappers and cat-nabbers, Sofia and the heroic kitten bravely sniff and dig through Roman ruins where the legend proves to be true.
