Harry Thurston's accompanying essay explores the elemental nature of these rivers that both nurture Atlantic salmon and inspire the salmon fisher. This 1,000-copy edition includes 50 full-size stochastic duotone reproductions of Holownia's 17 x 7-inch contact prints, casebound in quarter cloth with a printed card slipcase.
