Jerry Cummings, owner of Dinner Key Yacht Charters, found the financial backing necessary to add a second much larger sailboat to his fleet. The most promising option in light of its opulence and bargain price was a damaged, 130 foot sloop languishing in a boatyard more than 5000 miles away in the Adriatic Sea.The unknown obstacles involved in refitting a large sailboat in a foreign country and moving it across an ocean, would cause men of lesser capabilities to shrink at such an undertaking.
