Excerpt from San Francisco Public Schools Bulletin: Volumes 15-16; September 1843-June 1945
Principals are asked to examine the color charts in Grades kindergarten 1, 2 and 3, and report to the art supervisor their replacement needs. If the printed backgrounds are still in good condition they are to request colored papers only, so that these can be pasted over the faded portion.
They are requested to examine, also, the spec trum wheels in Grades 4 to 8 inclusive and to notify the supervisor of ones needing replacement. Paper wheels, unless in excellent condition, Should be remade, but an opportunity to paint the other wheels will be made as soon as reports are received from teachers.
