Publisher's Synopsis
THE FOLLOWING IS NOT A TRUE STORY. IT NEVER HAPPENED...Summers in occupied West Berlin were always special. Military Parades, showing the flag, and interacting with the citizens of West and East Berlin was the order of the day for all members of the US Army of Occupation in Berlin. This included the three other victorious Allies of World War II (British, French, & Soviets). However, occasionally things got a little out of hand especially in a world of excess that East and West Berlin had become forty years after the end of the Second World War. Along with his Army Buddies, US Army Private David Gutierrez find that sometimes things are a little more than they appear to be. They discover that marching on both sides of the Berlin Wall is like tap dancing in minefield that the entire world has an invitation to see who can do it the best or can survive the longest. They also discover that sometimes just being in Berlin comes with price. David G. Guerra, a US Army Veteran, stationed in West Berlin during the waning days of the Cold War, writes this work of fiction.
