Overture is a metaphor for a series of complex events in the lives of a man and a woman that impacted their lives for four decades. It begins in London and leads to Sicily where the protagonists Bill and Beth meet. The chemistry and intense passion they have for each other is almost epic. The first year of the great love affair would become a never ending problem. But where many loves evaporate after two or three years, their love you may say is almost eternal.
