The Royal Air Force's Flight Lieutenant Charlie Peters is both intelligent and independent, and believes herself to be happy with her simple and straightforward life. Charlie is an only child with a small group of close friends and a stable job that she loves: working in the Solid State Phased Array Radar in the heart of Yorkshire, watching for falling space debris, the repositioning of satellites and incoming ballistic missiles.
