Wartime musical starring Vera Lynn as an amateur singer who is mistaken for the girlfriend of a famous composer. The life of Vera Baker (Lynn) takes a strange turn one day when, while trying to locate the owner of a lost wallet she has found, she finds herself mistaken for the girlfriend of celebrated composer Michael Thorne (Donald Stewart) and whisked off to sing at a charity event. Matters are complicated further by the fact that Michael is the subject of a kidnapping plot aimed at gaining ownership of his valuable Rembrandt painting. Can Vera see through the confusion that envelops her and find a way to foil the plot and save the painting?
