Collection of ten films from a variety of countries and cultures. 'Before the Rain' (1994) is an Oscar-nominated foreign language film set in London and the Balkans starring Labina Mitevska as a young woman on the run after being accused of murder. 'Murk' (2005), a psychological thriller about a brother's search for the truth behind his sister's death, stars Nikolaj Lie Kaas as Danish journalist Jacob, suspicious of the role his sister's husband, Ankar (Nicolas Bro), played in her demise. In 'Border Post' (2006) a Yugoslavian border guard, Lieutenant Pasic (Emir Hadzihafizbegovic), desperate to avoid returning home to his wife, invents an imaginary conflict to dull her suspicions and watches with horror as it almost comes to pass. 'Mystery of the Wolf' follows the life of Salla (Tiia Talvisara), who is raised by wolves after being abandoned by her mother in the wilderness and later returns to try and protect them from hunting. 'Mirror Maze' (2008) stars Adrià Collado as Diego, a scientist whose pleasant and uneventful existence is shattered when his doppelganger is killed in a road accident in Argentina and flashes of deja vu convince him that his life to date may not be all it seems. 'The Call of the Toad' (2005) traces the relationship between Alexander (Matthias Habich), a German university professor, and Aleksandra (Krystyna Janda), a Polish restorer, in Gdansk in 1989 as they come up with a scheme to reconcile their historically warring nations. 'Donkey' (2009) is a Croatian drama which follows the return of a man, Boro (Nebojsa Glogovac), and his young family to his home village. The tensions within both his immediate and extended family find an unlikely source of healing in the form of a donkey purchased on impulse. 'Eleven Men Out' (2005) is an Icelandic comedy which follows the life of top Icelandic footballer Ottar Thor (Björn Hlynur Haraldsson) after he comes out as gay to his teammates and the public. Though Ottar is comfortable with his own sexuality, his revelation greatly disconcerts others and it isn't long before he finds himself looking for a new team. 'Quest of a Heart' (2007) is a Finnish feature-length children's animation in which a young troll, Rolli (voiced by Mackenzie Crook), and his friends enlist the help of beautiful elf Milli (Lisa Stansfield) to find the magic heart that will save their village - and the whole world - from being turned into stone. 'Cold Light' (2004) stars Ingvar E. Sigurdsson as Grimur, a lonely 40-something who finds himself emotionally crippled in the face of problems in his current relationship with art teacher, Linda (Ruth Olafsdottir). Can he exorcise the past demons that haunt him and move towards happiness?
